This international exchange program is organized by Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and National Institute of Technology, GiFU College, Japan, offering students the chance to learn, experience, and develop skills in a modern study and working environment in Japan.

Exchange period: From July 1, 2025 to August 5, 2025

Number of selected students: 7 (including 3 scholarship recipients and 4 self-funded students)

Attractive Scholarships
+ 3 JASSO scholarships (Japan Student Services Organization) will be awarded to 3 outstanding students. Each scholarship is worth 80,000 JPY/month during the exchange period.
Financial and Living Support
+ PTIT will support the following costs for the 7 participating students:
+ Round-trip airfare
Visa application fees
Living expenses (food, accommodation, local transportation during the exchange at GiFU Kosen) will be self-funded by students. (Students may choose to stay at GiFU Kosen dormitories.)
Eligibility
+ The program is open to PTIT students majoring in engineering, with the following requirements:
+ GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
+ Preference given to students with Japanese language skills or English proficiency equivalent to B2 (CEFR).
Impressive Study Program
+ Participants will have opportunities to engage in practical learning activities and apply modern technologies in exciting projects, including:
+ AI programming: Competing in the Penguin Party game
+ Designing line-following robots using kits, microcontrollers, and 3D printing
+ Processing images of ancient documents: Contributing to digitizing history and cultural heritage
Cultural Exchange and Excursions
+ In addition to academics, students will experience unique Japanese cultural activities:
+ Interaction with Japanese students: Participating in events such as Welcome party, Farewell party, calligraphy experiences, traditional games, and sports.
+ Visiting cities: Planned excursions to famous locations in Japan including Nagoya City, Gifu and Aichi Castles, Kyoto/Nara, experiencing tea ceremony and making traditional Wagashi sweets.
