1. Overview

The “2025 Global Start-up Design Thinking Hackathon Day” is an event organized by the School of Virtual Convergence and the Extended Reality Center of Chung-Ang University (CAU). The event aims to connect domestic and international students to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and global collaboration in advanced media technologies, including digital and multimedia technologies.

2. Competition Information

Application deadline: Before 17:00, July 20, 2025

Announcement of selected participants: August 4, 2025

Event dates: September 22–25, 2025

Location: Training Center, Seoul, Korea

Format: Students will form groups of 4 members:

Groups will select a start-up product and a hackathon topic related to different media fields (games, applications, films, animation, etc.).

Each group will present its project and business model to experts and judges; outstanding teams will receive awards and further support.

3. Number of Participants Selected
Up to 6 students.

4. Eligibility

Third- or fourth-year students of the Faculty of Multimedia at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT).

Cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0 or higher at the time of application.

English proficiency equivalent to B2 CEFR.

Valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of application.

Fulfill all conditions/requirements of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam to obtain a visa for participation in the program in Korea.

Priority given to students with prior experience in projects related to games, films, applications, or animation.

5. Estimated Participation Costs

Covered by Chung-Ang University: Meals and local transportation during the program in Korea.

Copy of a valid English proficiency certificate meeting the program requirements.
