Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) welcomes Howest University of Applied Sciences (Belgium)

On the morning of 4 September 2025, at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, PTIT have a meeting with Howest University of Applied Sciences (Belgium) delegation. The visit focused on exploring the expansion of internship opportunities in Vietnam and Belgium for students from both institutions, as well as strengthening practical, international collaboration in education.

Participants included:

- From PTIT:

1. Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Cuong – Dean of Artificial Intelligence Faculty

2. Dr. Tran Tien Cong – Head of the Machine Learning Department, Artificial Intelligence Faculty

3. Dr. Do Thanh Ha – Lecturer, Artificial Intelligence Faculty

4. Representatives from CIE

- From Howest University:

1. Dr. Wouter Gevaert – Lecturer, Creative Technology & AI Program

2. Dr. Dieter De Preester – Lecturer, Creative Technology & AI Program

During the meeting, both sides discussed the needs and potential for launching international internship programs. They considered specific possibilities for cooperation involving PTIT, Howest, and partner companies in both Belgium and Vietnam.

Later the same day, the delegation from Howest, along with representatives from CIE, visited RikkeiSoft. During the visit, the Howest delegation recognized the strong potential of internship opportunities in Vietnam and expressed interest in deepening collaboration through international internships.

Overall, both parties expressed appreciation for the positive outcomes of the meeting and committed to effectively implementing collaborative initiatives. The encounter marks a significant step forward in fostering practical exchange programs, providing enhanced learning, networking, and career development opportunities for students from both institutions.
